The day I met my Nemesis - The Math behind Machine learning

There I was. Sipping my coffee and enjoying a TV series peacefully. When I heard it. I pretended to not hear anything and went back to doodling on my notebook. But then I heard it again. The most annoying voices of my roommates shouting from the other room, "Results are up". I got up and sighed, "It's just a mid-term. What's the big deal". Annoyed, I opened up the results and I felt the wind wooshing through the screen like a dramatic scene in an Anime. 25%. That's it, I got the only 1/4th of the right answers. How is that possible. Were the questions that difficult?. I stared at my friends, I realized that I was the only one with the lowest marks. A million thoughts rushed to my head. Maybe I am not fit for ML. Maybe I should just stick with Software engineering. Big deal! Maybe I was never good enough at Math. Through all those voices, one big voice bore existence. I was looking into my subconscious state like the scene where Naruto talks to the nine tails! And it told me loud and clear, "You are just another frog who has leaped into the ocean." It was a sad reality. But hey, it just meant I had to surf in the ocean instead of my usual swimming in the lake right?

And so my journey began! I never really expected my grades to go up. But during finals, it leaped from a B grade to a straight A-! Trust me, no one was as surprised as me! The bottom line is, you don't need to be special to get it right. You just need to endure through it!

If you are like me, keep reading on for some obvious knowledge on ML, some motivation, or just some sheer fun!
